I've just rewired my mates house & got a silavent 240 volt fan for bathroom, he says he wants fan over the shower & obviously this fan would not be suitable for this zone so could anyone recommend a good quality low voltage or inline fan cheers
This 16 year old boy believes he is resistant to electric shocks even high voltage Its claimed he mends supply problems without a shock and also show people he can put live wires in his mouth. He is nick named electricboy.

Hi
Today I looked at a bathroom to do a renovation and noticed it had an electric shower with a 2.5mm T&E powered from a 13A FCU
Apparently this was tested and a cert was issued by an NICEIC electrician last month.
I'm relatively new to this but would have thought it would need to be at...
I am in the process of designing a system for deployment in Southern Africa and looking for some help/input from fellow solar installers and enthusiasts. Their grid is somewhat hopeless and is often turned off due to lack of supply - load shedding. I am looking at the possibilities I have ahead...

Firstly I just want to say that working from tables and on site guides can be great for convenience, and this is good. But so often the very presence of these easy and convenient rules of thumb to comply with regulation may prevent a person from developing a deep technical understanding of why...
When carrying out periodic inspections we are always asked whether we have to turn off circuits with critical equipment such as servers. My stock answer is yes but I am told there is a method/meter that can carry out certain tests whilst the circuit remains live without disruption/damage to...
What a ridiculous way of rewiring lights this was.
Got L-N fault on lighting in a nursery. No lights on the entire bottom floor. With it being a nursery it's literally impossible to do anything whilst it's open because of the children. Anyway I went tonight to try and trace the fault. Every...
I had not used my B&D mini vacuum for a while, went to recharge it but the charger gave no output. Stupidly without checking the price of a new mini vac like the Vax Gator, I bought a new B&D charger but the battery would not recharge. Consequently, for future information I wondered if there...

Just wandering what to use to get an armoured through a new duct which has been installed prior to me being on site without a pull rope.
Longest run is about 30 meters with probably 2 bends and is about 3 inch diameter but is the flexible type with ridges.
Will rods go that far and round...
Personally I think A CW SWA gland looks a lot better in a finished job without the shroud than they do with it, especially when there are 8 RGM glands in a row next to it, but does any one know of any reason why not fitting the shroud would be a problem?
The gland is indoors in a dry and heated...

Hi Guys
What determines whether a moulded 13 Amp plug requires to be fused?
I have in my hand a cable for a 72 watt transformer. one end of the lead has a physically very small moulded unfused 13 plug which is stamped 10A 250VAC. The other end is terminated with a standard moulded female (2.5...
A client wants 2 fans in a bathroom, one for the normal bathroom and one solely for the shower to come on when the shower is switched on. I am not sure how to wire the shower fan because if you put it on a timer the permanent live will be protected by a 45 amp MCB and not 6 amp as it should be...
