    Wylex consumer units

Hiya, I have received a coupe of quotes for electrical work that I need doing. One is supply and fit, the other quote for fitting only. However, on the supply and fit, I have been quoted a ridiculous price for some Wylex circuit breakers. £4.55 each in Screwfix, whereas I have been quoted...

    Old Wylex CUs

Anybody know the dimesions of the old Wylex boards? I'm doing a quote to replace an 8 way and a 6 way which are butted up to each other and no spare room around them, didn't take the measurements whilst I was there, looks like I may have to fill with RCBOs rather than split board(s).

Wylex NN board can it take an RCBO?

I think I may know the likely answer here, but.. does anyone know if it is possible to fit an RCBO into an old Wylex NN914 board? Board is some thing like this (though plastic not metal clad) looking to replace an NB30 breaker: I am thinking it is very unlikely and will probably need to use a...

A simple one I guess but one I have not come across: 3 bed house - 1 CU - 16th edition I guess with 1 RCD covering 5 circuits. The kitchen was on the downstairs ring. I have added a brand new kitchen ring and a 6mm cooker feed. Can I use RCBOs to protect the circuits on the spare side that...

Split load and HI board question

I've got a consumer unit to change which is tight for space. It's a neighbours house and when I did my board at home I used an 8 way wylex and RCBOS, this worked out ok but it might be a bit dear for the customer compared to a dual RCD set up. The only issue is the customer had a burglar alarm...
