Hi I come across this once in while. When performing a zs non trip test on at 6amp mcb. It trips out. It's always on the cheaper boards. I've read on other sites that it is because of cheap Chinese mcbs. I havn't come across the topic on here and was wonder what you guys thought?
TNS earthing arrangement. tested ZE 0.18 ohms tested ring final circuit R1+R2 = 0.35 ohms so that makes the calculated ZS for the ring 0.53 ohms, but when I test the zs with my 1 month old fluke multi the reading comes out at 7.4 ohms can anyone tell me why this is the case

having just purchased my meggar [i'm broke now] i tested a 30 ma rcd protected circuit and pluged into socket with 3pin plug,
it tripped RCD ON hI of loop,
so tested on no trip of the meggar with same 3 pin and got a reading of 1.1 ohm.
this is higher than my ze of 0.15 and { R1 +R2 OF...
Hi guys does anyone know if is possible to do a 3 phase Zs test on a fluke 1653b? I am currently halfway through s PIR at a factory and most boards I have tested have either being single phase or 3 phase with no RCD. However I have 2 outside motor/ pump sockets to test but neither have a neutral...
any ideals on why it said trip i have a megger mft 1553. testing between live earth and nutral with lead test. but dont work lol

Just started 2330 level 3, and on practical assignments,
at the stage on a test rig, one circuit is for lighting.
there is only a Light switch to test at for Zs.
I just lloking for comfirmation that I can (using a 3 lead tester) put the Red lead to the Phase with the switch in the closed...
