Hi.

Im just wondering what the term '0 volt' supply means, I've heard it mentioned when thermostats are involved.

I just can't get my head around the idea of zero volts?? What triggers the thermostat to switch...

Not greatly explained but any help would be appreciated.

do you mean volt free contacts? if so it means basically that the stat has a set of contacts that are either No or NC and not supplied by the stat supply ie you could switch a separate 24V control circuit with the contacts even if the stat is 240V supply
