10 mm cable

Hi everyone how can i tell the difference between 6mm and 10mm T+E cable
I have some T+E 10 mm tower clips and they don't fit that snugly, 2mm side to side movement when placed over the cable
Any help to identify the differences would be appreciated

6 will have a number 6 onit 10 will have 10 onit
6 is much easier to bend/maneuver
side to side theres a huge difference

6mm has a solid 2.5 earth and 10mm has a stranded 4mm earth

may be he,s never seen a cable this big it,s a novel way though using clips to check size could be worth going to dragons den with this

Easy, take it to the scrappies and weigh it in.
10mm is about 6 quid a kilo and 6mm is about 5 quid a kilo. :biggrin5:

found some 6mm single strand earth and used it has a gauge it was very slightly larger than earth in T+ E and noticeably smaller than L and N
