115VAC - unfamilar plug on industrial vibrator

I recently purchased an industrial vibrator from a company called Vibco in the US - The model of vibrator is SCR-100. It has this variable speed control box wired to it. Unfortunately, I'm not familar with the plug and need to know what type of socket it goes into. The paperwork says the item is single phase and 50/60 Hz with a power input of 115VAC and can simply be plugged into a grounded circuit. I was expecting to be able to plug straight into a normal plug socket but the pins are different. Do I need an adaptor?

Why would you purchase an American appliance rated at 115 volts, and then expect it to work on UK's system of 230/240 volts??

Buy a nice expensive 240 volts to 120 volt transformer if you want to use this unit, ....or plug straight into a socket outlet via an adaptor and blow your nice new bit of kit to bits, ...well maybe not to bits, but it sure ain't ever gonna work again!!! .... geezus!!!
