Can anyone offer me any advice... i completed my apprenticeship in 1994, ONC electrical engineering as an industrial electrician, lifts, cranes, DC powered stacker truck maint, some installs, offices, that sort of thing.
However I have been out of that game since the App ended... usual story, can afford apprentice wages but no vacancies for qualified tradesmen.
I am looking into getting back into the trade, not happy with current job, and also the familiy are thinking of emigrating to NZ, so my old quals may be enough to get us there, so long as I can get myself up to speed
would love to hear from anyone else who has come back into the job after a long lay-off, or who is moving / moved abroad as a spark.
