Hi All

My 1st post.

I am wanting to get my 17th Edition (the full one, haven't done 16th).
Can anyone give me a rough idea of it, and tell me what BRB is? Is it the IEE On-Site Guide?

Also, is it only the NICEIC that I can join, or is there any other choice?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am quite new to a lot of this official jargon.

THANKS !!!!

Hello KKKKK

Welcome to the Forum,

BRB = Big Red Book, slang for the 17th Edition (When the ammendments are published it will become the Big yellow/Blue/green (whatever the sleeve colour becomes) book.

There are other scheme providers out there i.e. Napit, Elesca, the ECA etc, so no you do not have to join NICEIC, other guys/girls on the forum who are members of the various schemes are better placed to provide the pro's and con's of each.

THANKS !!!

The on-site guide is a short form guidance book for the tool box hense 'On site guide' The full regulations are required to get you through the 17th course (especially if you are not up to date on the regs.
