seems everyone works differently then! there were 20 blokes taking the exam at the same time as me, all working for the same firm but with an external exam firm so I guess it was easier for the course tutor to say "no post-its" rather than check all of them!

Hi
Well got results a pass, now napit want to asses me again as we changed company name i feel inside its time to look at NIC.

Now i have to find two jobs for napit to be honest napit does not bring money.

Best Regards

Mark

well done.
some ctrs will let you have the post it notes if blank and some just hand you a brb when you walk in and get yours on the way out

As far as i can remember, we were not allowed any form of reference material for Any of the exams i ever sat, minor or major exams... It wasn't until sometime at Uni, that we were allowed calculators!!! ....How times change, think yourself lucky you can make use of the BRB and OSG, in an exam directly based on the book your taking into the exam!! ...lol!!!

The exam is testing your ability to find the correct reference in the book so you can apply it in the real world. Trying to remember every single reg word for word is nigh on impossible and if you could you wouldn't put that talent to being a sparky, I'd be in the casino counting cards ;).

I don't know why they won't allow tabs to highlight sections of the book? It's only like having chapter and page numbers printed on each page?

Well ....Sorry to disagree with you on your assumption that it's ''impossible'', ...But that's Exactly what was expected of us!! You were expected to know the fundamental requirements of the Reg's and be able to demonstrate them. Going back a fair way now, and in those days the Reg's (14th Ed) were written in ''Plain English'' so made things a little easier to understand and relate too...lol!!!

Im doing my 17th, last night was my 2nd week of the 10 weeks and we were actively told on the first week to get down smiths and buy some tabs and last night we were told what sections etc to tab.
Tabbed up stuff like disconection time tables ect, with that wording on the tabs.
Although saying that we were also told not to write anything in the Notes section of the book, there was me thinking that that is what it was there for.
