Hello Marty - I'm in a similar situation ( 17th test Aug. '11 ) If you search on Google for 17th Edition Wiring Regulations past papers you should find some - I did and found them on Electricians Forum .

Good Luck - Garry H. ( Shetland )

Passed the 17th Edition exam today!!

100% on all but 3 sections and those were 80% or above.

Not too bad to say i'd only had afew days to get familiar with the book.
Was actually given the same paper Spoon sent me, on the course.

The new amendments don't come in until 1st Jan 2012. I am told that all exams are base on the regs at the time of sitting test

I decided to buy the new green book with the amendments. It's on sale on Amazon for ÂŁ56 + postage (awaiting delivery).
I brought loads of exam papers of eBay and started revising tonight. Out of a test paper of 100 questions I got 47 correct not too bad without having a book or any previous revision, shouldn't take long before I'm back up to speed.
I've also found somewhere doing exam only for ÂŁ60.

City and Guilds 2382 Home Study course and training for the 17th edition wiring regulations course

Have a look at the above the exam simulator is excellent gives you a real feel for the exam sweat and all. You can also print out the exam and see which questions you got wrong and which sections you are weakest at.

Having used that after 65 minutes Id finished with a score of 96%

Hi Petar

The 2382-20 (30 Questions) are simlar questions asked as in the full its just that the weightings are reduced

Pt1 - 2 Qs
Pt2 - 2 Qs
pt3 - 1 Q
Pt4 - 8 Qs
Pt5 - 6 Qs
Pt6 - 2 Qs
Pt7 - 7 Qs
App - 2 Qs

If doing the short test make sure you get it done before the end of the year as I understand that come Jan it will have to be the full course
