17th Edition

I did my 17th Edition Exam today, and it was damn diffecult. I could not believe. They must have pushed the standards to comply with EU regulations ! About half the class failed. I passed, but I was sweating blood for 2 hours, I nearly collapsed with mental fatigue, when it was done. I could not even tie my shoelaces.

we did ours a few weeks ago and all said the same harder than expected
having said that only got 1 wrong and most people passed

Thats what happens when so many people have to have their finger in the pie writing the book Im sure that was written by the legal profession for the legal profession.

About time it was written by electricians for electricians

took mine when they first came out, was harder than the 16th but nothing too hard no on site guide for us in ours as that took an age to come out after the regs

Did mine 18 mnths ago and like mark sparks passed with only one wrong.....it was a stressfull experiece though,so well done elektrisian for getting through.
Gotta say though some of the guys on the course with me who were long standing sparks didnt have a clue, it was a real eye opener,nice blokes but how some of them manage to do the job is beyond me.

i used to work with a guy that was bang on with the job but when it came to the book side he was clueless. he said he did not need the regs as house bashing was fine for him. well thats ok but as him to work out the size of cable and he did not have a clue. one size fits all etc. ncbs were alll 6ka as well he reckoned 10 ka was for industrial.
