My apologies. I do know when the 17th was released.

Im in a unique situation I'm an apprentice Electrician who faces redundancy in a year when I qualify. (No fault of mine, they've just laid another 3 off) so just wondering if there was any point paying out for the 17th edition exam to help my job prospects when I'm laid off. Wouldnt want to pay out if the 18th wasnt long from being released and I thought I had heard from somewhere that the 18th might be released soon, I was obviously mistaken.

Sorry I meant I do know when it was released, it was a bit of a hasty reply! It was just after hearing someone talk about the 18th earlier its made me ask the question.

Have a look at your copy of BS7671 it's got the release date on the front

I'm going for 22/02/2022 for first version of the 18th.

Next amd. will be a short free downloadable insert available soon, then amd. 3 is scheduled for 2018 I believe. Be a while before 18th regs though.

The 18th edition will come out when the Nic (and thier chronies) decide they cant screw anymore money out of the 17th course wise so it's time for a change.
