it comes with 2 Batteries & they seem to last a while per charge almost a week but then it all depends on how much you use it.
I know of 3 chippies who have the Hitachi and no problems with it.I have the Dewalt myself.Its fine for just drilling,only tried it once with a hole saw and it did not like it,not really enough torque.It cut out and smelled a bit toasted but managed to survive.
It was 32mm into 25mm plywood.Maybe it was just a bit tight.I'll try it on something else and see.

when you say it lasts a week what do you use it for?
i know i can get around 20-30 odd 20mm holes in steel from my 3amp battery
why not buy a pack of spade bits for wood? i got a dewalt set for ÂŁ12 from local wholesalers and they have 32mm in it
