Hi basically a list of bullet points to make sure you comply with the regs ?What is it you mean by checklist? Every single house can be different with different circuits different amounts of lights sockets etc. It would be very hard to create a generic checklist
Its tough because it really applies to the particular circuits you have, what way they are being wired and the location. Your best bet I think would be to get a copy of bs7671 and look up each point as you require.Hi basically a list of bullet points to make sure you comply with the regs ?

thank you very much industrial commisioning testing and fault finding is second nature to me and i did my part p a few years ago and my 18th edidtion last year its just getting my head round dosmestic stuff reallyThat comes with knowing your job and being competent to do it to be brutally honest.
The closest thing you'll get to a checklist is the inspection schedule on the model forms in BS7671. Couple that with the info in the OSG and possibly the electricians guide to the building regs and you should be right.
You're an electrical engineer who has also done a domestic installer course right ? I don't think you'll find installing compliantly too much of a challenge to be honest.
