We're about to check how our last few months have gone. Not great I would imagine. We are a family business though and our overheads/wages can be altered to suit to some extent.

It is you guys with lots of staff and premises that I sympathise with.

Us too - I don't know anyone that would work the hours we work for the pay. It's about half the minimum wage at the minute!

Surely that's illegal and you can sue the decc for that as they moved the goalposts causing you to work for less than minimum wage affecting your human rights lol

I'm not sure what we're doing wrong. We work loads of hours, but as everyone knows the Fit cuts and maybe more importantly for us the D rating have had a devastating effect on our business. Add to this 2 voids with our rental properties one of which was well and truly trashed and we've had a tough year this year. On the other side of things a relation of mine has written of 6.5k of debt in Jan this year and is going all inclusive to Turkey in peak season.

Is it me ?????

Good news, got the one we surveyed!

How did you get on SRE??

Nervously biting our nails - first customer is busy until this weekend, second one are an older couple so I want to give them a few days before I contact them again. Well done with yours - it just shows there is life after 21p! At a show tomorrow - fingers crossed for some enquiries there.

Just been to an agricultural show, loads of interest, only a passing mention of Fit @43p from a couple of people. 2 surveys booked and I'm fairly sure we'll be asked to do a couple more. Not enough to retire on but not a bad start to the new rate.

Just signed one on new rate, only trouble is im unsure about EPC,

SRE you will probably know.. Its a detached old house has gas, Solid walls, new boiler, some double glazing, with 3.9KW going up, do you think it will meet the D???

Yea should do - the key will be the condensing boiler. We can usually get solid walls and natural gas with newish boilers through but fail miserably with solid walls and oil/lpg. Could be a D without pv - wouldn't be surprised.

Just scrapped one on EPC, 80% double glazed, cavity walls but old oil boiler, had to fit a cylinder stat to scrape it through!!!

Have new enquiry, seems keen......

Enquiry: What do we have to do to give you money?! Seriously need 2 x external PIR + lanterns etc for new garden & quote for solar & pir replaced at front-know you're v busy but do bleedin call us!!
