Carrying out an EICR today.

Found a radial 6mm supply, 32a, to the cooker, with a 2.5 spur off to a double socket.

Debating whether to mark down as an observations. In my mind its the same as a spur of a 32a ring main??

Thoughts please

agree. highly unlikely that the 6mm will be overloaded. ifit's ref.C, then it's good for 47A and it's protected by a 32A MCB. the socket is unlikely to pull over 20A, so the 2,5mm also is safe.

Socket rated to 13amps, cooker diversity applied so unless the circuit can be overloaded and the spur is adequately protected for fault protection it's ok

Sorry the Zn neutral loop impedance as to ensure the cable can withstand a short circuit fault as being supplied with a 6mm could have quite a low impedance resulting in a higher fault level.
