I recall seeing this a long time ago. Is it still available? Anyone know.

I ac re not a hoot what you think about my attitude. If you want to discuss that go to a PM with me. You are just clutter and noise on the thread. Far too many of them here.

You are showing your true colours now John. When people end up unable to maintain a structured debate they generally turn to abusive and juvenile comments.

Bye.

You are out your depth conversing with graduate engineers - many here clearly are unable to see advantages of anything new. Outside of Cyberworld, I probably would not speak to you much in a professional capacity. You would be firmly told and directed what to do, with your input not wanted or ignored. That is not to say hands on electricians cannot add value - after a while you know the ones to talk to, and those you tell what to do.
Wow. Just, wow. Try that attitude in my industry and you'll last less time than an RCD on x5 before someone ----s you. Probably me.

No, lifetime of dealing with many who think they know better because they picked it up, with little to no education. Many have said to me they have 30 years experience, so much know it all. In reality they have had 6 months repeated 60 times.
Education comes in many forms John, there are plenty of folk who think they know it all because they spent years in uni and hold a degree. Its all about balance and experience.

You have to be able to think. You need the education that backs that up. Experience in itself is near useless, especially in a fast changing technical world.

I met one young electrician many years ago who was very bright - forward thinking and thought out of the box. I encouraged him to get back to studying aiming for a degree. He did, to my pride in him - I went to his graduation. He is now a brilliant engineer. He came from a lower working class background, where education was frowned upon, attending a poor secondary modern school, starting work with a small local sparks company, who just taught the Lads on the job. These Lads would have experience eventually. They would be very limited - and I would not trust them, only wanting their craft skills.

You cannot help yourself, thread closed.
