2 Gang 2 Way Help

Hi Lads,
Just joined also doing a BTEC Diploma in Elec Install, I think I need it.
Need to wire two MK light switches a downstairs 2 Gang 2 Way light switch to a 1 Gang 2 Way light switch upstairs. Just 2 switch cables and a linking cable. 1 light upstairs 1 light downstairs.

BINGO!! Problem Solved. Thanks a lot Lads.
Had another thought don't want to try and be to clever. But could I put a 2 Gang 2 Way switch upstairs as well?
Would I have to install another cable?
What would the wire termination be then?

Well done !!

Yes, you would have to install another cable & it would be another 3 core + earth (called "strappers" in this type of installation) between the "new" switch upstairs & the existing switch downstair. You would then connect the 2 cores of the existing downstairs switch wire to terminals L1 & L2 of the downstairs switch. (assuming of course that the existing downstairs switch is a 2 way)
