So I have the kitchen ceiling lights and worktop lights controlled by separate one way switches. The lights are constantly being left on unnecessarily. Can I get away with one PIR Motion sensor or would I have to have 2?

How many MCBs or fuses are there?

Use the PIR to interrupt the feed to the switches, then both lights can be turned off but will require PIR detection when they are on, the only snag with this is if people are present but do not move much, the lights could drop out and we get the silly 'lights on' wavey dance.

Thanks for the reply. Both the ceiling lights and the worktop lights are on the same MCB.
So it's only 1 circuit then? to answer your question it depends on how the 2 lights are wired shouldn't be too difficult to do what you ask, may need a bit of rewiring though.
