1. im going to supply a cooker hood off the new kitchen ring. Can the FCU be placed out of sight/behind hood itself?

2. Also off kitchen ring, fridge freezer fitted into new unit supplied by a single switched socket behind unit but wont be accessible unless the fridge is pulled out.

Are these 2 practices acceptable according to BS 7671?

Thanks

Mount the socket in the cupboard next to the fridge and pull the fridge cable through by holesawing for the plug or alternatively...you could mount an fcu in the cupboard next to the fridge and cut the plug off the fridge cable and terminate in the fcu.....this will negate the holesaw thing and be a neater job in my opinion.......

And invalidate the fridge warranty by removing the plug. Good one!
