I think thats whats known as the conversion method ,i was never sure how to do it as i was shown the conector method mentioned earlier ,all the wiring i did as an apprentice was in conduit ,so its different again ,done plenty since in tae ,think i will start doing it like this in the future ,thanks for your posts ,i love learning new stuff,

isnt putting switches in neutral against regs unless its double pole ,and what about proper identification of conductors ill stick to the two approved methods
 
I take my 3 core from switch to switch but when I first started 3 years ago the spark I worked with taught me to take my 3 cores from each switch to the ceiling rose and crimp it through in the rose.


sounds a bit complicated that one. it would be a bit cramped in the rose.
