I bought a 2017 fusion and learned the previous owner had battery problems. How might I use the forum to get advise on this topic?

My suggestion would be try searching on a Ford forum, people are bound to have come across this problem before.

I found out the other day how to fix a malfunctioning alarm on my 2009 Fiesta by changing the boot latch, the alarm going off all the time was draining the battery.

Boot latch was 15 British squids on eBay.

The old favourite with battery drain is a light in the boot (trunk) staying on all the time, not sure if this is the equivalent of a mechanics old wives tale though.

A quick Google shows that some 2017 Ford Fusion's have been recalled by Ford Click here! Also this reddit thread here

Thanks a ton ED I am wondering if at the heart of the matter is a rub between the auto engineers trying to minimize the battery where users that typically are "short trippers" let the charge slide downnnn?
