230V to 400V conversion

Hi everyone,


I want to install 400V HPS light (600W) on site without three phase supply.


I looked at step-up transformers and various inverters but I couldn't find one which takes 230V a.c. and gives 400V a.c. and is rated at minimum 0.6kW.


What I have found is this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/CLARKE-PHAS...6166780&sr=8-2&keywords=230+to+400v+converter, however I would prefer something slightly simpler (without 3ph socket, voltage indicator and switches) preferably something I could mount in the box on the wall.


Could anybody recommend piece of equipment which would do the job?

Just buy the 230v 600w ballasts will be cheaper than convertors.

You can buy a 400v 600w HPS that works off a 230v ballast, they're grow lights as far as I recall, they have dual ends as opposed to single ended lamps.
