hi there just finished my L3 now and got a pass... wasnt even hoping for a credit lol. yes it was hard but but take all advice from tuters as they might be giving you underlying hints. the 301 was hardest but as your doing your r1 r2 test make sure you do a long lead test for neutral at evey point too. olso dont forget xpolarity at bulkheads and long leading the earths too. if you follow the onsite guide step by step and my advice it should all fall into place.. olso revise alot on rcd test and why you do it what it means! evey test you do you need to explain why you do it what you expect and what you would do to rectify if faulty. my 301 was a 2day exam 1st day was in a new build (at college) and had to find 5 faults and second day was in a commercial propperty (bay at college) reason for this they are slightly different regs on paper work eg. how long for testing.. periodic or 5yr etc my advice would be to do paperwork as your fault finding as it takes along time! there was a few ppl that failed my course and as far as i know it was there time that run out. it is an 8hr exam both days and luckily i found all faults before dinner but even still barley finished intime as the live testing after and paper work drags on... trust me. anyway good look

The coding part is all down to experience and knowing whether something is right or wrong. Remember some pics have no faults.
