Ive been offered a place for the 2330 l2 at a local college.
Isnt this qual been taken over by another one in the new year (2357?).

If i did the part 2 could i do the part 3 next year or will it have been scrapped?

I did my disq and 17th with the intention of registering with elecsa just doing domestic- but if ive been offered the 2330 l2 should i take it?

Thanks.

latest you can enroll on lv3 is december/jan this year after that its gone mate so you will have needed to of completed the lv2 by then ive noticed loads of colleges still offering the course think its just to keep the teachers busy, im hoping that i can transfer my lv2 and lv3 over to the 2357 to save having to redo those bits but its not been confirmed yet

if you start lvl 2 you will need to finish lvl 3 as once gone you cant do lvl 2 and then transfer that to the new one.

once the new qual is in place city guilds will have to provide a way of allowing holders of 2330 to complete

its like sitting for 3 years doing a degree and then just short of the finish they change the qual and tell you that you cant qualify.

ezzzekiel is absolutely correct. i thought i was not going to able to finish my qualification but a lecturer at my college who's been teaching for over 20 years told me not to worry. students were panicking, and now c&g have confirmed that there will be a migration path for exsisting students. They would have to really if you think about.

I see what you mean but I don't see how if you can do lvl2 of 2330 and then finish off with 2356 they are two different things and the syllabus will be different if not whats the point of changing it. What will the final accreditation say?

if you want to do 2330 there is time to book lvl 3 before the end of the year.

I too was thinking about doing maybe 2330 lv2 and 3 as i have done
C&G 2382-10,2377,2393,2391-10 and logic full and defined scope level A,B,C was hoping to set up self employed doing mainly domestic small commercial but as i have always wanted to be a Fully qualified electrician i have heard i need 2330 lv2 and lv3 and the nvq 2356
the tutor who took me at college told me to just do the nvq 2356 which they are not taking anymore candidates for
I have been told that I could just do the 2330 lv3 is this possible or not does any one know or would i have to do lv2 and lv3
also I believe as I am 40 they wont probably let me do the new 2357 dot know if thats correct or not
any advice please cheers
