2391-10 Practical

Hi Guys,

I have my 2391 practical exam in a couple of weeks time. As I don't really do any commercial testing, can anybody tell me if a contactor controlling a motor is considered vulnerable to an IR test? I assume there is a coil that wouldn't appreciate 500V?

IR to earth, 250v soft test, should not be a problem. the coil may be anything from 12v to 440 v, so i would not IR across the coil before checking the coil operating voltage.

OK, have my practical exam coming up this Friday. Although I have a fair bit of experience in completing PIR's on domestic properties, I have little commercial/industrial experience. Has anybody completed the 2391 recently, and have any tips/guidance on passing this exam? Thanks in advance.
