hi guys

So I've been told that if you get your 2391 quals before you've been qualified for 2 years you have to wait for the 2 years since qualifying to get the title of being an approved electrician? Is this across the board or just for companies registered with the JIB?

Is this for " Approved Contractor" or the more important Grade "Approved JIB Electrician", the later being the more important grading imo. Approved Contractor is obtained with Cash JIB Approved is EARNED by hard work and experience nothing to do with paying Scams your hard earned imo again, there will be those that disagree I'm sure, and wish to argue the point, bring it on.

Well my company isn't part of the JIB but we have electrician rates and approved electrician rates. I got my 2391 back in January this year but will only be qualified for 2 years cone January 2021. This affects me and another colleague and they keep spouting the business with the 2 years but we don't follow any other JIB procedures.

Approved Electrician grading used to require grading as an Electrician for a minimum of two years. I don't believe that this is still the case, but am open to correction. The grading definitions on the JIB website should clear it up.

i thought they restricted approved grade for NVQ 3 i did see someone with 2391 testing technician on back of card it was a while ago he didn't have gold card so it could have said something similar to that i know it didn't say testing electrician.
