As I have just qualified as a JIB electrician I am starting to think about doing the Testing and inspection. I have heard it is very hard. Anyone who has passed it could you give me some advice ?
Do it At night school over 10 weeks cost£260 all in at local college. Plus thats how it was designed to be done originally. £600 is daylight robbery
Yeah, that sounds about right,I paid £200 back in late 2006.
I would have deffo failed the one week version.
£350-£400 isn`t too bad for what is effectively a weeks private education in small class sizes but any less than that would send alarm bells ringing with me: as what is the standard of tuition/lectures etc.........Me too, I know my limits and my addled brain would not have had time to take it all in. I liked having a week inbetween for "percolation" of what we did that week to soak through the grey matter and come up with some questions and practise a few calcs, etc.
Saying that, I can see that the "do it in one go" has its place also, people have different restrictions and that may be the only option available to them.
600 too much though I did look at this and found some training places were happy to "match" prices so there is negotiation even. A sale is a sale after all! Lowest I remember was about 350-400.
