Hey folks

sitting 2394 written exam tomorrow and have a few questions in my notes I need the textbook answers for.

1. State four practical steps that the inspector can take during the inspection and test process to ensure the safety of the users of the building, other than safe isolation.

2. State what would be verified when confirming that additional protection has been provided using RCD's

any references would be helpful

cheers guys

Place barriers
Place obstacles
Erect warning notices
Give audible warnings to the users of the premise

Cables are installed at a depth of less than 50mm and are not mechanically protected
RCD is <30ma for additional protection

1. rusty nails has given the stock answer., and gets all 4 marks.:coolgleamA:

2. That the Earth Fault loop impedance for the circuit/s is compliant, The RCD is 30mA, and trips within 40 mS at 150mA (5 times I delta N)on both half cycles. The mechanical test button functions properly.

GN3 will elaborate where i haven't.

Cheers................Howard
