Hi mate,
I will give you the heads up on this one.
2395 is periodic inspection and test, as you will know.
The rig will be the same as for the 2394 Initial Verification, but as it is periodic that you are doing there will be 2 faults from a choice of 7 for you to diagnose, set by your assessor. I am not going to tell you what they are for obvious reasons, other than to say they are realistic, and straight forward to find.
Just do the testing in the manner to which you are accustomed, although being a periodic, you cant be failed for doing them in any particular order, but to make life easier, do them in the correct order if you can. If you lose your way, then have a look at the schedule of tests, they are in the correct order on the model form. You can refer to BS7671 and refer to GN3, but you are not allowed to study them, your assessor should explain all this to you.
IMPORTANT, dont cock up safe isolation, and lock off or YOU WILL FAIL!
You will be presented with a selection of 8 photographs, chosen by your assessor from a bank of 21. You will have to identify what if any the non conformance/s are, and tell him the appropriate defect code.
You will carry out an Insulation resistance test on a CU which replicates a small domestic install, you have to find and identify 2 faults as either short circuit, low resistance, or earth fault.
You will take 2 EFLI measurements on a simulator, you will be told the type and rating of a protective device, and from the tables in BS7671 you will need to indicate if the value is acceptable, or not acceptable, dont forget the 0.8 rule of thumb calculation, and make sure you know where the tables are, if you dither looking for them you may get reffered, and have to do it again.
Thats it, job done.
Cheers............Howard
