Done this exam in June and it was a total balls up by c&g question one was a cable calc, question 2 referred to q1 but was impossible to answer....

lol !! i had the same problem in my 2396 exam , incorrect / missing information from the paper then Q.2 relying on the answer from Q.1

Q.1 calculate submains cable size for such and such load

ok , 35mm says i , and completely correctly as far as i was concerned.

Q.2 calculate such and such resistance for your answer to Q.1 using the cable data provided on the bottom of the page

ok then , er....... WTF ? the swa R2 values only go upto 25mm !!!???


anyways , i managed to negotiate this annoying discrepency by cheating lol.

i'd sneeked into the exam a printed sheet containing swa resistance info for every cable size which isnt in the regs whatsoever ;-)

needless to say i completed the sums flawlessly using my own data :-D
the exam proof readers will need to get up much earlier to shaft this troll.
