As per title , any thoughts or comments welcome from those currently engaged on this course.

When do you hear if you passed or not? I'd be interested to see some of the questions if you have them.

6-8 weeks wait for all C&G exam results , so end Jan / start Feb.
I'll scan a sample paper over the weekend and sent you a copy.
But the actual exam was way harder , nowhere near enough time unfortunately.

Thanks. I'll pm you my gmail addy.

Maybe it was because it's a new course they might have undertimed the exam. The only good thing is everyone who sat it was in the same boat so they'll possibly just weight the passmark accordingly.

give me your email address and i'll send you the project drawings.

Well last nights exam was a shocker , toughest written i've ever done , made 2391 look like a walk in the park.
didnt have time to answer 3 of the 10 questions.
hope the pass mark isnt higher than 60% or i'm screwed lol.

Cheers mate

appreciated and good luck with the results

I also found the exam very hard, and i totally agree it makes the 2391 look easy! I managed to sneak out the question paper :gunsmilie: I managed to complete all the questions just found question 6 and 10 hard inparticular. I would say the pass mark would be from 55% to 60% i think.

Biff, the deed is done, forget about it, then someday in the future you might get a really nice letter through the post.
Wouldn't mind a shufty at the questions & project myself.

Done the exam in December and found it ok. On reflection of the course; yes you learn a lot, it's pretty intense and if you don't work with design or commercial installs then yeah you might struggle. I took one of my guys with me and I think he should have waited a few more years when he's actually in the office doing more design work as he will forget the fundamentals Over time. It's a different way of thinking and using 7671 from a design point of view. If your on your own or part of a small firm or a house basher then no I wouldn't advise it. It's fairly expensive and probably not the best use of time and money. The project work takes up a lot of time and you'll wish you hadn't started the course as it takes up valuable work/ family/ social / golf hours. I also wouldn't recommend doing the course just for the sake of doing it so you get the qualification. Like all these exams now they are easy enough to pass but you have to understand it and use it day to day. Something I've noticed over recent years. Plenty of people with plenty of qualifications but with very little experience! Frustrating for employers!!!
