23/01 afternoon All, purchased a 240/415 Tatra saw in Melbourne Australia this week for $50 that the owner said had a bad contactor. However, he had suffered a stroke and basically couldn't tell me why/how/where.
Appears a new DOL starter but there is no NO contact to start the machine.
Ive taken a pic of the wiring plate, DOL starter and cover.
The cable from the plug to the DOL has three actives being brown, white and orange, blue to A1 and earth
The cable from the motor to the DOL starter has three actives, one earth and three control wires
Control wires are blue (terminated), pink to L3 and brown to A2
The machine runs fine in 415v when I press the contactor (cover off)
I have a NO contact from another Sprecher starter that I can use.
But I'II need some help on wiring as Im not sure about the control wires.
Another thought, the motor has a switch for either continous or intermittent which Ive left in the former
Hope this is in the section of this forum,
Many thanks James

Presumably the green button in the cover is supposed to push directly on the contactor's armature and mechanically push the run contacts together.
You have the NO terminals (13,14) on the contactor but they don't appear to be connected to any wiring. Similarly, the terminals on the overload relay/ stop contact don't appear to be connected to anything either.
