25mm PVC Channel

I'm using lengths of 25mm PVC channel to bury some cables in plaster/breeze, but despite trying several nail sizes, the channel keeps splitting & cracking when I secure it.
What nails are recommended to avoid this please.

if you going to the trouble to drill a hole, put a red plug in and clout nail in that

Steel capping, sharp edges doubled over. Clout nails at the side of the capping. if the mortar is crap a 5.5mm hole drilled into the brick or what-have-you with 3 or 4 clout nails crammed in! Job done!

Iv'e gone with plasterboard nails to each side of the capping, which seems to work OK.

plasterers clout nails as said previously, tried every thing else without much success recomend difetent sizes if going into render with brick. to stop capping splitting you could puncture holes first on flat surface like a peice of wood.i

PVC sheathing is designed not to be affected by plaster, but render will destroy it.

Modern gypsum plasters have no detrimental effect on pvc sheathing , only old fashioned lime plaster which is rarely used these days , caused deterioration through chemical reaction.

as king said,just use a terminal driver to poke a hole in cap,then nail it to wall..

Well if the plasterwork is less than 15mm thick on the walls you've chased out then the capping will protrude , preventing a flush patch-up.
