Hi all, im about to buy a sds hammer drill as i have been using my 5kg for most things but its a bit awkward using such a large drill for small jobs. so, options. im currently looking at two drills, makita or milwaukee. im after any personal experiences you may have had with either drill, i would normally not hesitate to go with makita as i know they are good but i have read in some other posts about how milwaukee are better? so here are my 2 current options.

MAKITA HR2470 SDS+ 3 Mode Rotary Hammer Drill (NEW) | eBay
MILWAUKEE PH26X SDS 3 Mode Hammer Drill 240v 4002395236312 | eBay

is the milwaukee worth paying twice the price for ?

thanks all,

I have a dewalt which cost ÂŁ80 on offer at screwfix which is probably comparible with the makita but only use it for heavy work, cant comment on the milwaukee as never owned any,at the ÂŁ100 price range it will do most of the jobs you need it for.

If you have makita cordless I would go makita. They are/have brought out a new 36v sds that takes 2 18v batteries.

Im currently using the compact bl version.
