Hi all,

An interesting method which many may or may not have seen before is having 3 lights, individually switched but with only two twin cables at the switch, all in old colours. I was wondering what people think of this situation on an EICR or just in general?

What do I think~?

It's something I used to do regularly.
1 Feed , 3 switch wires, plus earths presumably.
Alternate version, single core Red (later plus earth) plus 3 core and earth.

Whats the problem then?

fair enough, like you say, not something that happens nowadays, or does it? lol

Not nowadays it doesn't happen, the last time I wired a lighting circuit with an RB4 type junction box was at least 2 weeks ago!
I can't see me doing another one for at least 4/5 weeks I think

Of course it's fine and there's nothing wrong with it!
