Hi all,
Just after some advice really - came accross a Crabtree Polestar board today -3 phase 36way board with probably 32 breakers installed in a fair sized commercial building that I was asked to do some elecrical additions to. from the outside of the board it looks fine as all the circuits look to be evenly spread - however on opening the board I find that the board has been "ADAPTED" to work as a single phase board with all the buzz bars linked to the 1st phase.

What is the opinion on this kind of installation - fully populated 36way 3 phase board running on a single phase adaption????????????

They have taken the supply cable (3 core 25mm SWA) to the DB back to the main board at the intake which has more than enough 3 phase - just cant understand why they would not have run a 4 core instead of a 3 core cable (even if they ran a seperate earth cable with it) and supplied a 3 phase into the board
