Hi all,

Tested a building today and came across this, never seen it before.
3 phase circuit but was connected in the board over 4L3, 5L1 and 5L2. There havnt used 5TP as the circuit that any normal person would with ways available too. Ive coded this code 3 due to incorrect phase tape used. Is that all i can fail it on :(

Any help or feedback would be great

Thanks.

This is common enough across industrial installations with maintenance fitters who don't have a clue what they are doing. Come across this quite a bit. IMO C3 is fine at this point provided this is the only issue with the circuit. That's what I would record it as. Is this observation the only problem you have come across on this installation? What does it supply?

Thanks for the quick response mate. The installation is in a ok condition. The DB have recently been upgraded so would say the guy installing the DB was at fault :( Have a few other minor faults on the DB missing the correct stickers, secondary barriers and a few cables unsupported . Thanks

Nah. I know what you're saying but if someone was clever enough to be thinking about phase rotation they would change rotation at the accessory or load end.

My diagnosis = Numpty.

And what if the incoming supply to the building was in fact L3, L2, L1 rotation and all motors and other phase rotation dependant equipment had been connected to match that configuration?? Still Numpty??
