3 Phase Oven Wiring (Help)

Hi, We recently bought a new pizza oven to replace the old one, it is a 3 phase and has a 5core cable coming out of the back of it (3 browns 1 blue and 1 earth g&y), the problem we are having is that 2 brown cores are connected together and the other 2 blue & brown are also connected together. How does this connect to the existing 3 phase and neutral isolator switch? I was thinking that maybe it can also use a single phase supply and therefore the cables were joined in pairs, do I have to undo the pairs that are joined and connect the 3 browns to the 3 phases and the blue to the neutral and if so do I need to open the oven and changing internal wiring connections?
Also this is a 16kw oven running from the DB on a 3 pole 63amp fuse, is this size fuse ok?

I have only worked on single phase and not have much experience on 3 phase. Your help will be appreciated.

If it's a new machine, then you will have an owners manual, follow the connections for a 3 phase supply!! As you say, this oven can probably work on single and 3 phase arrangements. Apart from the manual, the various connections will maybe also shown inside of the ovens connection cover!!

Yes a 3 phase 16KW load should be fine on a 63A switch fuse.

By the way they list your oven as 12 Kw on the site.

yep get the book out, but as there are no rotational componants it,s three "lives" but make sure the links are removed in the wiring connector block if fitted or you will probably not need any more clean shirts

PS your getting close to 50A and depending on what conditions the cable to the outlet runs in you could be looking a 16mm cable

One last point, the cable that has been run from the DB is a 5 core swa and it looks like is a 6mm. The fuse at the DB is a 3 pole 63amp, does this mean 63amp on each pole(phase) or is it 21amp on each pole(phase), if it is the latter then the csa of the cable must be correct as it is a 6mm to take 23 amps. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

It means the switch fuse can supply 63A per phase. various fuse ratings of the same physical dimensions upto 63A, can be used in these switch fuses. Depends on the type and make of this switch fuse.

Whereas the load rating of your Pizza machine will be spread over/across the 3 phases....

As Eng54 has said above , but for christ sake make sure you know what your doing as phase to phase contact is a risk at the load end if not looked at first for inter links

But reading your posts it appears you have little to no understanding of 3 Phase Electrics, to be honest 3 Phase should really be left to proffesional Electricians to install. There is also the question of safety testing, do you have the Knowledge & Equipment to do this ?.

Please call a Proper Electrician, it will be safer & might in the long run save you money.

There is also the question of safety testing, do you have the Knowledge & Equipment to do this ?.

And your life, and if this is commercial property you might invalidate your insurance

Hi Specialist, I'm not sure if you read my initial post, I never said I would be doing this because I won't, I will call an electrician to do it.
But before I called an electrician I wanted to get informed. As I said on my first post, the 3 phase wiring is already there from the previous oven,
We are just having the new one connected to that, but I wanted to find out whether the wiring/fuse would need to be replaced as this oven a 16kw 3phase supply.

In response to your question of knowledge,Equipment.. I have a broad knowledge of single phase supplies and the dead and live tests required for certification and safety as I have done domestic installations in the past. But I totally understand your concerns of safety and I think you are right. I was just trying to get informed.
