ive a 3 phase static inverter with a 4 pin no Neutral power output 420 v. Is it possible to use the 240v power source Neutral on the inverter, change the socket output to 5 pin and use the input power source Neutral as in effect a slave Neutral. The Neutral will not be connected to any wiring in the static inverter only the new socket ?

I would offer some caution here, research needed. I’m thinking of the isolation (separating supply and output), these shouldn’t be joined. They are not the same and wouldn’t be common. See Delta vs Star vs delta + Star connections (the latter will have a neutral output). My understanding (and it’s a long time ago) was also the issue of phase harmonics induced in the ‘new’ neutral would make it unstable, I suspect there is good reason there is no neutral on the output (probably price). Overriding the original design may bring bigger problems - be careful what you wish for.

Most inverters or converters from a single phase source enable a three phase output with no neutral because it generally is not required. As above the manufacturer would give accurate guidance but connecting a through neutral from the source will not work as how do you intend this neutral not to be connected to the inverter as they are the same thing, I cannot see how this neutral would function.
