Hi Stewart, in short you're out of luck. There are things that can be done to produce 3 phase from single phase but they're highly unlikely to be cost effective at your scale and well beyond giving advice over the web.

Your two best options are 1) see if you can replace it for a single phase machine and/or 2) talk to your energy supplier / unit management about getting 3ph installed, which won't be cheap either.

Either way, when it comes to wiring anything in, I strongly suggest you get a reputable qualified electrician in to do it for you - have a search here for your area.

The 3 phase machine will not run off single phase
You have a couple of options

Convert that single phase to 3 phase with something along these lines STC1.1KW Static Single to Three Phase Converter 0.75W/1.0hp ,(depending on the size of the motor)

Replace motor with a single phase of the same type

Give it back and get a single phase replacement

What does it say for frequency on the motor plate?

In which case, I take back what I said! If it's only that small, then one of the units that Des suggested may well work for you.
