Discuss 30A induction hob and 30A oven in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

so what's the load????? if you apply diversity, you could probably use 6mm single circuit for both. that would cut the cost.

Right i'm going to feel a right knob now but if you don't ask you don't learn and all that what's diversity? how do I use it, and where can I find all this info from guys, except the regs of course websites and such, yep I feel like a knob already lol

In the OSG

Tables for diversity can be found in Appendix 1 of the On Site Guide.
For cooker appliances, it is 10A plus 30% of full load where the full load is above 10A.
As you appliances would have a combined full load of abot 27A, that would be 10A + 30% of 27A (8.1A) a total of 18.1A.
4mm² has a current carrying capacity of between 17.5A to 37A, depending on Reference Method.
From what you have said, the capacity is going to be at or near the maximum.

Thanks guys. I love this site so many informative people. Just to explain i've recently come back to install from a maintenance job where 17th edition and health and safety was seen as a way of getting out of work (they actually said this), please be patient whilst I'm getting used to the laws and standards again, many thanks.
