360 deg. motion sensing bulbs for porch

Hi all,
Happy New Year.

I have a porch lamp the customer purchased which does not have a motion sensor incorporated in it. The Lamp is ES27 and is positioned upright, can anyone recommend a quality motion sensor bulb? They like the lamp they bought so do not want to return it. (they do not want a Dusk to Dawn) I have searched for days and can't find anything suitable. Your help will be appreciated.

This was just a quick search on google so if you look further you may find one with an ES fitting. If not then you could use one of these

In fact Michael I've just looked further and there's loads of PIR bulbs on a google search https://www.google.com/search?safe=...3......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71.Ef31IFNS-sU so perhaps I'm missing something here?

Does 'positioned upright' mean pointing upwards. If so, you'll need bats for it to operate.
If they want motion operation they'll need to purchase something appropriate, me thinks.

You will have seen that bulbs that incorporate a motion sensor have the sensor on the top and so this would not detect ground motion.
To have a 360° sensor it would need to be pointing downward and the body of the lamp will get in the way of this position.
To have perhaps a 120° angle sensor might be possible with the cheap and cheerful adaptors that are available from China, but the likelihood is that the light fitting will not be high enough to accommodate both the adaptor and the lamp, you would also need to ensure the glass of the lamp is not IR opaque.
You could with some effort manage to assemble a control system with component parts and manage to cram them into the light fitting but it would be far cheaper to buy a new light fitting, though possibly you could fit the parts from a new lamp into the existing one if you were lucky.

Use a microwave sensor lightbulb
