37 kw industrial oven

hi just to check my sums are correct I will be running my oven of a 60 amp 3 phase breaker as the oven draws 51 amps I will be using a 5 core 10mm swa lsf cable to a 63 amp commando skt outlet does any one have any issues that may have missed any advice welcome

Looks OK to me, provided that any cable derating factors have been taken into account and your volt drop is OK.

body got me thinking about cable size as believed my 73 amp 5 core swa lsf cable would be enough

Why would you be fitting a commando socket to a ''fixed'' industrial oven??

Why not a local / adjacent 3 phase and neutral 63A isolator??

I dislike heavy power fixed equipment being permanently supplied via plugs and sockets. The amount of times, when it comes to pulling the plug out, maybe or maybe not after many years of service, you find it's welded itself to the socket!!


None of our fixed kitchen equipment is supplied via plug and socket, all are connected to IP rated fixed switch isolators.

I see your point but as far as ive been told it will be supplied with the 63 amp plug attached and may well void the warranty have you looked at the rest of the sums just for my peace of mind
