I was an electrician of 4 years (1 year ago) and been out of the game for a year.
I have been unable to get a job because I do not have my NVQ 3.
I started out as an apprentice, but I couldn't fulfil the NVQ (changed assessor at college, I knew him and didn't get on and I failed. It, allegedly, went missing)
I have:
C&G 2330 Level 2. I did this full time at college so couldn't complete NVQ 2. When I got a job the next year I had to use the first year to gain experience before moving onto Level 3. I was supposed to do my NVQ 2 then but it got scrapped so i had to wait for doing C&G 2330.

I nearly have:
C&G 2391. I am in a argument with my training provider over this. I have passed the written part but there is an unknown over the practical (my results were exactly the same as my mates(the training provider lets you do it in 2's) He passed practical but failed written. Can I just pay to re-do the practical or have I got to do the lot again? If so, how much?
Is there an alternative to the NVQ 3? I'm in a difficult position of needing a job to do it, but cannot get a job without it. Plus I cannot afford to pay for the whole thing.
