4kW installation 200 metres away

Hi all,

I'm quoting on a 4kW installation which is 200 metres from the consumer unit. I've worked out that 25mm cable will be required to compensate for voltage drop.

Can someone confirm this for me, and make any suggestions as to any other gotchas or improvements I should be looking for?

is it PME will you need a rod at the load end ??

It's TT, so will stick a rod in anyway.

is that ac or dc cable you are talking about?
Why are you going to put an earth rod in?
