Hi There , Just read your thread on the 63amp supply. Yeah SWA 16mm 3 core would be a good option. What about a split concenteric cable as no glanding into the Cu.

Yeah, but a real bitch to make that end off in a CU, and make a decent job of it. You'd really need a heatshrink crutch trouser to do that with any success!!

If this flat submain is fed from the flat below/adjacent i.e. no actual service head in 'your' flat and you will only have the CU in the flat in question you need a 25mm submain and a 16mm main earth/25mm SWA.

DNO/service head in a cupboard on ground floor, feeds to a henley block then this feeds to 5 x switches. Each flat currently has 16mm T&E fed to them. One flat has already been done via a previous electrician very recent too.

The only way to feed a supply as in a fresh supply to this flat is via trunking and following the contour of the staircase up 3 floors. No access to the outside.

Hence the option to try and utilise the existing supply as it tests good.

It's my understanding that sub-mains to meters need to be a minimum of 25mm feed with 16mm main earth, check with your local distributor because the meter will belong to them presumably.
