Hi i've put in a new ring with 3 sockets and 3 fcu but when i do the ir test i only getting

L-E 74
L-N >200
N-E 134

i was going to brake it half way then test then so on

any tips

70 Mohms...!....not exactly REALLY low, Have you plastered any boxes in or installed on damp walls?,if so condensation in the backbox might be the cause.Otherwise I wouldnt worry about it,as long as all your other readings measure up it's well over the minimum acceptable reading.

Hi i have labc to site on monday

When i take all the sockets and fcu's off i was getting >200 ohms and i test all the sockets all ok but when connected getting all kind of readings as low as 30 megger ohms
if i leave the tester lock on will claim to 160

Wouldnt worry too much about it its that time of the year now nothing seems to dry out very quickly bet you would get a much higher reading in july only needs a little pressure on the back boxes when screwed back to get a lower reading also make sure everything is disconnected even diodes on fused spurs
