Some developments have had permitted devlopment rights removed - they should check.

Have you considered other mounting options - car port, gazebo, or possibly PV tiles? even In roof would look better and you could do that way under the £8k

They are interested in the financial side of things first and foremost so I don't think PV tiles would be a goer, unfortunately.
 
You seem to have 13 panels on your simulation which I presume is a 3.25kWp job. Not sure where the other 3 panels are going to go?

Maybe on the west-facing surface using microinverters on the lot? With additional scaffolding costs, extra cabling and top notch panels it might push it over £7k?

The panels are 190w so it only makes a 2.47kWhp system. 4kWp just won't fit and I told them this the minute I looked at the roof.

This roof faces south west so it is really the only area that PV is viable.
 
Stop fussing pal it's all about the return your customer wants get it done and be done with it cause if you don't someone else will!!
 
Show the planners what it would look like and get them to say its OK in writing; that way they can't complain. If the client is happy and planners have said OK everyone is happy
