Discuss a few 2391 questions in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

I've already given you the model answers from Gn3 and BS7671. :confused5:

Yes I know and that's what I would of originally put, but after reading GN3 I find myself arguing for both,

cheers for the help though its much appreciated and I'm sure they'll be a few more questions I need answering during my revision

cheers for your replies guys, see this is the thing there seems to be 2 sides to every argument regarding most questions,

i have another question that i would like some guidance with,

state three different practical situations that may require the sense of sight during the inspection of a steel trunking containment system.

my answers would be:
proximity to non electrical services
selected erected and routed to avoid ingress of water
holes surrounding trunking made good

id just like to know if im on the right wave length or if im barking up the wrong tree, are these answers correct/ in the right direction

cheers in advance

Yes you are on the right track. other visuals could include, lids fitted correctly, containment properly supported and secured to wall or whatever, construction is continuous or bonding is in place at joints/gaps, corners correctly fitted, no visble damage, and so on. Dont look too deep, and never dismiss the obvious.

Cheers............Howard

with regards to my original question,

identify three conditions which must apply if a minor electrical installation works certificate is to be issued.

would the answer not be,
the installation must be designed, constructed, inspected and tested in accordance with bs7671.

So in a nutshell, jurassic was right in the first place..........MUST COMPLY WITH BS7671!

I am off to find a wall to bang my head on.......:confused5:
